Testing Live Writer

Because we have no permanent internet connection I am now using MS Live Writer to create the blog offline then upload it to blogger when connection permits.

Font size.  In blogger I simply use normal here I have been using 11.5 as it is the default, but from time to time this seems to change on upload as too does some of the justification and some of the links break and the spaces between the photos sometimes gets lost.  Most of this I have corrected when I spot it in blogger once I’ve uploaded of course.

This is a test sentence in 11.5

If there’s any of my blog readers that use Live Writer I would be glad of some tips.  For example there seems to be no way of saving preferred font size or colour.

  1. I use Live Writer all the time, it's much more user friendly than Blogger. You need to go into the Design section of your blog on blogspot, click on Template and then set up everything you need on there. You'll find fonts, font sizes, colours etc. in the Advanced settings on the menu bar on the left. You may need to play with it a bit to get it right, but you can see what it will look like without actually applying it to your blog. I'm a complete computer dunce, and I managed fine with it. When you've got it how you want it, then link it to your blog - when you do a post using Live Writer it should automatically use the correct fonts etc. Good luck, and if you need any more specific help let me know

  2. Thanks Pip.

That's really useful information. I will look at what you suggest.

If I get stuck I will call on you.

  3. Looks like you have it sorted. I use live writer now after losing a couple of posts while writing someone told me to use it.

I have wordpress so all I had to do was link it and it even picked up on my theme which is there when I write my blog.

Pip is on blogger, I don't know how that works with live writer.. Well done Pip!
